I create websites for individuals and small businesses who are looking for elegant and creatively designed sites that entice viewers in, have clear and easy navigation, and are search engine friendly giving them the greatest possibility of rising towards the top of free search engine lists. My background as a visual artist is value-added, not the norm in the sometimes cluttered world of website design. My priority, beyond the critical element of design, is to create well-built clean sites: all the background work and detailed coding that you won't see on the screen will make your website work the way you want it to, and impress your viewers as an individual reflection of you and your work.

Below are samples of several websites that I have both designed and built. In each case I have worked closely with the client to tailor a site to their individual needs, in order to reflect the personality of their work or service. For each of the examples below a link to the actual site is provided. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you are looking for an affordable, well designed and constructed website.

Patrice Rossi is a scientific illustrator with over 30 years experience in many techniques and for a variety of applications including editorial, textbook publishing, interactive signage, and technical manuals. Debra Walton Counseling

Debra Walton Counseling

This website is still under development. But in order to meet a Yellow Pages ad deadline, we set up the hosting and I created a temporary home page which describes in brief Debra's counseling practice. As will be done on the final site, I was responsible for providing original artwork for the page in addition to the overall design and build.

peregrine press

Peregrine Press

The Peregrine Press is a printmaking cooperative in Portland Maine whose site I redesigned and rebuilt several years ago, and continue to maintain and update. In addition to a collective portfolio the group produced last year (portfolio08), one of the more interesting challenges this site presents is that of showcasing the work by most of the 30 member artists.

Maureen Callnan

Maureen Callnan

Maureen is a therapist working with two very different types of clients. She was looking for a professionally designed and built website within a fairly tight budget. In addition to designing a simple and easy to navigate website, I provided Maureen with the artwork used on the site. This is a basic site with a clear descriptive of the client's work, yet made personal with original artwork.

Deborah Freedman - Maine Storyteller

Deborah Freedman

Deborah needed a new website to promote her storytelling and life-story writing work. The site needed to have a light playful attitude. In the end we developed a simple site with a fairytale on the home page describing what Deborah does. In addition to the various elements, design, and build, I provided the image on the home page.
